Biografía
Cecilia Galará nace en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, el 18 de mayo de 1978.
Desde adolescente asiste a talleres vocacionales de la Escuela Provincial de Artes Figueroa Alcorta, en 1996 ingresa a la Escuela de Artes de la UNC donde completa la Licenciatura en Pintura.
Se dedica a plasmar arquitecturas y paisajes, al estudio de la figura humana y la naturaleza. En 2003 ingresa a la “Unquio Paradise Murga” con el objetivo de desarrollar su trabajo final de licenciatura. Sumergida en el carnaval, desarrolla la práctica intensiva en el maquillaje artístico, destrezas circenses, diseña vestuarios y adquiere el oficio de la creación de “imaginerías” con diferentes temáticas cada año.
Movilizada por estas vivencias desarrolla una obra impregnada de carnaval, plasmando un anecdotario de imaginerías pasadas. Realiza retratos de murgueros proyectando sus figuras sobre fondos que remiten a los trazos ligeros del maquillaje y a destellos que flotan en la atmósfera del corso.
Continúa desarrollando su oficio pictórico a través de murales y obras de variados formatos con evocaciones a la identidad unquillense, las destrezas circenses y espirales oníricos habitados por hadas, duendes o sencillamente rostros.
Actualmente reside en la Reserva Los Quebrachitos, Unquillo.

Cecilia Galará was born in Córdoba, Argentina, on May 18, 1978.
Since she was a teenager she attended the vocational workshops of the Provincial School of Arts Figueroa Alcorta, in 1996 she entered the School of Arts of the UNC where she completed the Degree in Painting.
Initially, she is dedicated to painting landscapes and architectures. Study the representation of the human figure and nature. In 2003 she joined the "Unquio Paradise Murga", a local carnival group, with the aim of developing her final degree project. Immersed in this festive world, she develops an intensive practice in artistic makeup, circus skills, designs costumes and acquires the ability to create "imaginerias" with different themes each year.
Mobilized by these experiences, she develops a work imbued with carnival, keeping memories of "murgas" from past years. Make portraits of artists of the murga, placing their figures surrounded by backgrounds that recall small touches of makeup and sparkles that float in the atmosphere of the Corsican.
She continues to develop her pictorial work through murals and works of various formats with evocations of the identity of the people of Unquillo, reminiscent of circus and dreamy spirals inhabited by fairies, elves or simply faces.
She currently lives in the Natural Reserve "Los Quebrachitos", Unquillo, Córdoba, Argentina.
